Warner Robins hosts first annual International City Experience
The city of Warner Robins will be hosting their first annual International City Experience this Saturday, May 4.

WARNER ROBINS – The city of Warner Robins will be hosting their first annual International City Experience this Saturday, May 4,10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Perkins Field.
The free event will be a cultural festival that includes food trucks, food vendors, cultural acts and regular vendors who will make it a cultural experience for attendees.
Marketing Coordinator for Visit Warner Robins Lera Moncrief shares that different types of vendors will be present at the event. There will be a Henna artist, and there will be a demonstration on how attendees can make their own piñata.
The stage will have different acts as well including TaShiba dance representing Barbados. Drake School of Irish Dance will be performing river dancing. Atlanta Pipe Band will represent Scotland and Latitude Adjustment Steel, a steel drum band, will represent the Caribbean.
Moncrief also shared the food trucks will offer different types of cuisine, including Mexican, Asian and Soul food.
There will also be a city tent at the event, which will offer bingo cards. Attendees can participate in the game and collect stamps from different food vendors.
Moncrief said that when the game is completed, participants can turn it in for a free t-shirt. She also shared that there will be a passport-making station for children, and stickers and stamps will be provided.
The event was delayed in March due to the weather, so Moncrief is thrilled to finally share it with the public.
“I think it’s going to be a great experience for the community and especially for those that may not be able to travel to other countries. We’re going to try and bring all the countries and all the cultural experiences here to Warner Robins,” she said.
Moncrief said since Warner Robins is referred to as the “International City,” they felt that it was a title they needed to bring to the community. She said Mayor LaRhonda Patrick tasked Visit Warner Robins to bring a cultural festival to the community, which led to the creation of the event.
“I just hope it’s going to bring the community out and that they are going to have a lot of fun. It’s a free experience, so you don’t have to pay for anything other than the food trucks, so you don’t even have to pay any money if you don’t want to eat at a food truck. It’s just going to be great for the community because it is a free event and bringing everybody together and we’re just hoping to build our events for the next years to come,” Moncrief said.
The event will be on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Perkins Field is located at 105 Mulberry Street.
