Virginia Brand
Warner Robins – Virginia Brand, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 13, 2013.
Virginia was born on September 29, 1929 in Nashville, Georgia to the late William Madison DeVane and Virginia Susan Kennedy Devane. She was a longtime faithful member of Central Baptist Church and the Joyner Bible Class. Virginia retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked as a Budget Analyst. She was very active with her church and community. Virginia was a member of the Red Hat Society, Newcomers Club, and the Pilot Club. She was also an avid Bridge player. She loved spending time with her family; had such a kind disposition and was such a joy to be around. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Dale Lynn; second husband, Milton C. Brand; and her beloved aunt who raised her, Sallie Trueheart Parrish.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Steve Lynn (Kim), Patti Conley (Chris), Susan Dart (Harold) all of Warner Robins; sister, Rose Griffin, Nashville, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Holly Personius, Jennifer Hames (Jeff), Lisa Singleton (Jason), Brian Conley, Samantha Conley, Trey Dart, Gini Dart, Will Dart, Jim Dart; five great grandchildren; and so many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, May 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Owen Bozeman officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A., Macon, Georgia 31201 or to the Pilot Club of Warner Robins, 201 Farm Estates Road, Perry, Georgia 31069.
