Veterans wrestler receives state ring

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Veterans wrestler, Julian Farber, capped off his senior season with a bang, or a pin to be literal. Farber finished the season as the 2020 GHSA 5A 132lb State Champion with a 60-1 record.

His extraordinary performance and accomplishment couldn’t be recognized with a big celebration like it should be, due to social distancing precautions. So, Veterans Wrestling Head Coach, Garrett Martin, presented Farber his state championship ring with an improvised celebration.

Farber will continue his wrestling career at the University of Northern Iowa and pursue a degree in supply chain management.

Farber will join a talented Northern Iowa program that just had five wrestlers named as All-Americans. He is one out of Veterans’ nine graduating wrestlers that will continue their wrestling career at the collegiate level.
