Veterans soccer unbeaten, No. 5
 
 
On March 5, the Veterans High boys soccer team hosted Columbus High and basically took the No. 5 Class AAAA ranking away, winning 2-1. Tim Yalcin scored about 20 minutes into the second half. The winning goal was by John Pilcher – assisted by David Gomez – with two minutes left.
 
The Warhawks (7-0-1) went on to beat West Laurens on the road Friday 2-0.
 

The Veterans girls also beat West Laurens Friday 6-0, half of the goals coming from Khayla Owens. The remaining points were by Savannah Smith, Myranda Wyatt and Jada Foor.
