Ultimate tug-of-war staged to benefit Special Olympics

It

was a competition of strength, but the cause was to raise money for the Houston

County Special Olympics.

 
 

Hundreds

of people gathered to either watch teams pull a fire truck or to actually pull

the truck. Teams had to pull the fire truck from a resting position 40 feet.

The truck weighed over 15 tons.

 
 

The

City of Warner Robins, Flint Energies, the Houston County Fire Department any

several others had teams present to pull the truck.

 
 

Houston

County will host the Special Olympics’ summer games at the end of March at

Bonaire Middle School.
