Time for the 35th Georgia National Fair!
I hope everyone will check out the Antiques Department in the Miller Murphy Howard Building to see the 200th Perry Anniversary display by the Perry Area Historical Society. I am ready for those blue October skies and lower temperatures for the fair this year. Tell Ben Jones to make it happen! The hurricane certainly put a big dent in the amount of entries this year. Please make plans to enter your treasures next year!
Middle Georgia surely did dodge a bullet and our thoughts and prayers go out to those in the Southeast who are suffering from catastrophic loss of people and property. I believe this terrible hurricane is going to affect us all in one way or another.
Thank you to everyone who entered and to all the volunteers behind the scenes that put it all together and take entries in and organize them when it is time for pickup at the end of the fair. Happy Collecting!
