The Forgotten Granddaughter

President Joe Biden has seven biological grandchildren. Their names and ages are: Naomi-age 29, Finnegan-22, Maisy-22, Natalie-18, Robert-17, Navy Jones Roberts (Baby Doe)-5 and Beau-3. The President doesn’t recognize Baby Doe as his granddaughter. As it turned out, during August 2018, Hunter Biden fathered a child with an Arkansas woman named Lunden Roberts. The child’s given name was Navy Jones Roberts. In turn, the child’s mother, Lunden Roberts, sued Hunter Biden for paternity and child support; however, Hunter Biden publicly denied the claims. Later, when DNA testing confirmed that Hunter was the child’s father, he continued to fight the Arkansas paternity suit, saying that he had no memory of the incident that led to the pregnancy. In his own defense, Hunter Biden cited his struggles with alcohol and drugs.

In May 2019, Lunden Roberts again filed suit in Independence County, Arkansas, alleging that Hunter Biden was the father of her child. The child was referred to in court documents as “Baby Doe.” Facing a court trial, Hunter Biden accepted financial responsibility; however, Hunter has had no relationship whatsoever with the child. The entire Biden family’s rejection of the child has prompted psychologists to contend that Navy Jones Roberts (Baby Doe) may be at risk of severe psychological harm.

The President himself has not recognized his seventh grandchild. In opposition, Mark 10: 13-16, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. Jesus took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them and blessed them.”

Matthew 18: 1-6 adds: “At that time the disciples came to Jesus, asking: ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’” “Jesus called a little child to Him, and placed the child among them, saying: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in My name welcomes Me. If anyone causes one of these little ones to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.’”

Psychologists contend: “If a birth parent or family member denies the existence of a child, it could trigger feelings of abandonment and grief. The child may feel shame and insecurity due to rejection, thinking it was their fault. This can result in poor self-worth, leading to difficulties in forming relationships.”

The President has received flak for his decision not to acknowledge his seventh grandchild. In fact, White House Christmas decorations have included stockings for the President’s other six grandchildren, as well as his pets, but none for Hunter Biden’s daughter by Roberts. Additionally, White House aides have been told during strategy meetings that the President and First Lady Jill Biden have six, not seven, grandchildren. The White House has refused to respond to questions about the President’s seventh grandchild. The foregoing paragraphs were extracted from Internet new reports.

It is important to note that Proverbs 17: 6 declares: “Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.”

I was born 9 October 1935 at 800 Ball Street in Perry, Georgia.  During those days,  Perry had a basketball dynasty, winning 83 percent of its games with nine state championships, often playing higher classification schools. My senior year, I was selected as Captain of the All-State team, scoring 28 points in the final game against Clarkston High School (a tremendously tall and talented team).

I married the love of my life in 1955.  She was Beverly Davis.  We were married for 66 years.  Because of advancing age (nearly 90), I had to sell my home and property in Peach County.  I now live with my son, Tim, in Dahlonega, Georgia.  I have another son, Bill, who lives near Canton, Georgia. I miss Beverly very much. I have shed so many tears about the loss of Beverly, I don’t have any left.

I am honored to be writing for my hometown paper, the Houston Home Journal. The Managing Editor, Brieanna Smith, is doing a truly outstanding job! She deserves our highest order of commendation.
