Surviving The Storms
Whirlpools are created when opposing forces run into one another or another obstacle. They have the characteristic of then combining together, creating a circumstance that is majestic and destructive. They pull loose objects into them that are not anchored down while having enough strength to rip apart objects that are anchored. As whirlpools gain strength, they grow into what is called a maelstrom, which become dangerous to life and property. Pivoting around a singular point can grow to become destructive, so we must be wise in how we navigate the singular points in our life, lest they suck us into oblivion.
We depend on focus to get things done. Others use our focus to get us to do the things they want done. For instance, a magician is clever at getting us to focus on the activity of one thing while they are doing something else that in the end seems like a magical act to us. As entertaining as that is, it can be frustrating to experience. Life has so many singular points that it is difficult to know which one is wreaking the most havoc. One thing is certain, we should not allow ourself to be deceived by someone trying to get us to focus on a singular issue or thing when all of them must be dealt with.
Just as a whirlpool is a phenomenon that occurs in the sea, a waterspout is one that happens above the level of the sea. A full blown and powerful waterspout can evolve into a tropical depression and then a hurricane. So, we can see that in weather and in life, there are things that occur above and below the surface. Fortunately, we have learned more about both so that we can be better prepared for their occurrence.
No matter how harsh the storms are that come, there always seems to be stories of survival. How do we survive these whirlpools in politics, society and relationships? The things in life that are not anchored down face the greatest risk of destruction, so we must find ways to secure them. Singular issue approaches cannot solve complex problems, those are just magicians waving their left hand while the other is doing something else. The better the anchors, the better the outcomes. We may have to use multiple anchors to survive the storm.
We can make better preparation and choices based upon the information and data that we have accumulated over time. Another word for this data is called HISTORY. The more accurate the data, the better we are able to predict outcomes. Better data is also referred to as uncorrupted or uncontaminated, something that has not been watered down or manipulated. Every contaminant that is in the data creates other obstacles that can bring to life destructive storms.
History and accurate data are anchors that allow us to be better forecasters, which allows us to be better prepared for the days ahead. The better we see the area around us, the better we engage with one another. The opportunities for survival increase dramatically when we share accurate data and history.
