PERRY, Ga. — Liam Stuckey is a 10-year-old boy. He does school work, he plays with his friends, and he has an appetite for playing and watching soccer (he’s a big fan of Portugal) — all of these things are pretty standard fare for someone like Liam. What’s not typical is the skill set and potential career that Liam has already started: He’s been a model since he was three, and lately he’s taken a liking to acting in films.

The Journal sat down with Liam and his mother, local business owner Kim Stuckey, for the whole story.

“He’s always enjoyed posing in front of the camera, so I started submitting him to child model magazines,” Stuckey said. From there, Liam’s career in front of the camera continued to grow.

Stuckey started submitting photos of Liam to child-modeling magazines when he was three years old. He started carrying roles in films when he was six.

2023 has already been a busy year for Liam. Earlier in the year he and his family spent a week in New York while he modeled for photographer Krissy King in her company’s event, New York Fashion Week. Afterward he returned home and began working on a series of films called “The New-Fangled Adventures of Alexia and Z,” with 3Pyraminds Film and Entertainment.

Liam’s most recent project, “The New-Fangled Adventures of Alexia and Z: The Case of Gram’s Missing Teeth,” wrapped just a few weeks ago.

“It’s fun,” Liam said. “It’s fun to see behind the scenes, [and] it’s cool to go places and meet other people.”

In the last few years, Liam has worked on projects like “Greenland,” a film that was produced in part here in on Robins Air force Base, as well as the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” film. Through these projects, he’s been able to work alongside, and sometimes meet, household names like Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Gerard Butler and even James Gunn. In addition to his work acting, Liam has actively begun picking up other interests along the way.

“He’s been learning a lot behind the scenes, like directing [and] producing,” Stuckey explained. “He’s actually fixing to start a class where he’ll learn how to screenwriter, so he can start to learn to write behind the scenes.

“That’ll give him the opportunity, if he decides to make a career out of it whenever he’s older, to pick back up. “

While he’s taken on these projects, Liam has been homeschooled by his parents. He plans to take a break from acting and modeling once he starts middle school so that he can focus on schoolwork and friendships.

“When you do [these projects], you miss your friends,” Liam explained.

Kim Stuckey said for Liam’s family, these projects require a lot of patience and a lot of travel — nonetheless, they want to support him however they can.

“You lose a lot of sleep at times,” Kim Stuckey said. “You may have an early call time, maybe 6 a.m., and if you’re having to drive from Atlanta, you may have to get up at 3 or 4 a.m. to hit the road.

“As long as he enjoys it and he loves it, we support him, we want him to do it.”

Liam’s record spans over thirty different child model magazines, a number of projects modeling designer’s clothing and several movies and TV shows. Liam is signed with a talent agency out of Atlanta, Kiddin’ Around.
