Art by four Houston County students was chosen for the 2019 Capitol Art Exhibit. This exhibit is the premier event of Youth Art Month and the largest student exhibit in the state. Quail Run Elementary and Perry High were represented in the show.

Senator Larry Walker, Representative Shaw Blackmon and State Superintendent Richard Woods were in attendance to view the students’ art.  The exhibit was located in the James H. “Sloppy” Floyd Building in Atlanta.

The purpose of the exhibit is to share with legislators and the public the exceptional creative ability of Georgia’s students. The show is cosponsored by the Georgia Art Education Association and the Office of the Secretary of State.
