Stamp Out Food Drive Set for May 11

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Special to the Journal

The Stamp Out Hunger Annual Food Drive is set for Saturday, May 11. This is your opportunity to help someone in need. It’s easy to

help:

 1. Collect and bag non-perishable food items.

 2. Place by mail

box for letter carriers to deliver to Loaves & Fishes of South Houston

County Food Bank.

The Postal Service is encouraging everyone to support the food drive and urges

people in the Perry-Kathleen area to place a sturdy bag containing non-perishable

foods next to their mailboxes prior to their regular mail deliveries Saturday,

May 11. Donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, bottled juice,

vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Do not

include items that have expired or are in glass containers.

The staff and volunteers thank the postal carriers and the public for your

support and are confident you will help us again.
