Spotlight on Accordia urgent care
Accordia Urgent Care
Young Daniel Chambers, Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Location: 1205 Russell Pkwy, Warner Robins, Phone: 478-302-5729
Q: What made you choose this career?
A: “I was born and raised in Warner Robins where I attended Warner Robins High School. I lived here until I was 20 years old and decided to join the Marine Corps. I served four years on active duty as a gunner on the M1A1 Abrams Tank in the Second Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, N.C. When I came back I moved to Hawkinsville where I have lived for the past 15 years with my family. I earned my Associate’s Degree at Georgia Military College and my Bachelor’s Degree at Columbia Southern University. I also worked as a salesman and sales manager at Hughes Honda for about eight years until 2009. Prior to joining the staff at Accordia Urgent Care, I worked as a civilian at Robins AFB for the last five years.
“In 2003, I joined the Air Force Reserves where I am currently a First Sergeant with the 413th ASTS at Robins AFB. Through my reserve unit on base I met John Welch, who is the owner of Accordia Urgent Care. John needed help trying to establish the business here in Warner Robins so he hired me as the public relations and marketing rep. We opened on Nov. 20, 2014 and so far everything’s going really, really well!”
Q: What is the vision for your company?
A: “Initially John started the business in Vidalia where our corporate office is located. It was the first Accordia Urgent Care we opened. Approximately six-to-eight months after that, John envisioned a clinic here in Warner Robins. As of right now we are seeing a daily increase of patients that walk through the door. As we continue to grow we hope to expand the Accordia Urgent Care business to more locations. We have a lot of goals we really want to meet.”
Q: What are some ways people can take advantage of your services?
A: “One of the great things about Accordia Urgent Care is that we encourage walk-ins and our wait times are very minimal. Generally we’ll get a patient in and out within an hour. In addition to being an urgent care clinic, we’re also a primary/family care provider. That means we don’t have to charge urgent care copays. That is a very good benefit to people. It costs a lot less and there are less wait times than going to an ER. By being a primary care provider, if you have something extensive or more chronic, you can come here and be seen as well.
We offer $25 sports physicals and we see patients from ages 6 months on up and can treat many different injuries, illnesses, employer physicals, drug screens, and DOT Physicals. Accordia Urgent Care also treats worker’s comp injuries and we accept most insurance companies.
Q: What are some of the positive ways you impact the Houston County community?
A: “By providing excellent quality and affordable services with convenient hours and a great location. Furthermore, as our business grows and expands, we are looking to hire more employees in the near future.”
Q: Talk about some particulars of your business.
A: “We have about 15 employees here at the Warner Robins location and 15 at the facility in Vidalia. We’re open seven days a week 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. No appointment necessary! Call us anytime to ask questions at 478 302-5729 or go on Facebook or AccordiaUrgentCare.com for more information.”
Q: What makes your center the best?
A: “It’s the best because we get to treat the best patients in the world and we have a very professional and competent staff. We also have very little wait times when someone walks into our clinic, and our prices are very economical. We have a brand new location and we’re really looking forward to being a part of the community.”
Q: What makes your employees the best?
A: “Our employees are very well-qualified and very well-trained. They also have a professional and reassuring bedside manner and are very down-to-earth. When people come in they come in feeling like they’re part of the family. We greet them with a smile and take good care of them. You will get a professional, honest opinion here. We really do care about your health.”
Q: What makes your customers the best?
A: “Our customers are the best because they’re part of Middle Georgia! A lot of our customers are repeat customers too. I know we’ve only been open for just a few months but a lot of people that have come in have had nothing but good things to say about us. They’re spreading the word like wildfire! They’re giving us a lot of good comments and feedback on Facebook and all through social media. You know ‘word of mouth’ means a lot too, so our customers are by far the best.”
Q: What would you say heading into the future is your top priority?
A: “Our top priority is no matter how big we get or how long we’re going to be here, we want to provide the best quality service available! That is paramount to our very existence. We also want to keep in mind that our patients are our number one priority and to treat them as they are a part of our very own family. The Accordia Urgent Care Family! And we never want to lose sight of that goal.”
