Southeast Electrical voted business of the month
PERRY, Ga. – Southern Electrical has been in business for 20 years and on Wednesday, Oct. 25 they celebrated winning the Business of the Month award.
President and CEO of the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce Maggie Schuyler presented the Owner, Darrell Lewis, the award at their storefront in Perry. Schuyler also announced the business hosted a celebration on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will have vendors there as well.
Schulyer also expressed her excitement to be able to present the business their award and said they are now in running for Business of the Year. She said the community will be able to vote and the winner will be announced in Feb.2024.
“We are just so happy for you at the Perry Chamber, we’re proud of you and everything that you do for the community, and we just want to say congratulations,” said Schuyler.
After the presentation, Lewis also expressed gratitude for receiving the accomplishment and how his business came to be.
He said he and his wife lived in Columbus when they decided they wanted to do their own thing and moved to Perry. The couple started their own business when their children were two and five years old.
“We love Perry, and we love the growth that we’re finally seeing out here which is great and why we are here,” said Lewis.
The business sells electrical supplies to contractors but also to the general public. Lewis said his business has grown extremely well over the past 20 years, especially with the growth of the city.
Lewis said he felt grateful to be recognized by the community and he feels great that he is serving them well.
