The Lady Bears won their lone contest this week as they took to the road again to play West Laurens on Wednesday. 17 hits fueled their 10-7 win; Ansleigh Darby had four hits including a double. Claire McArthur had two doubles out of her four hits, and Hayley McElroy added another home run to her tally. They’re 10-5 on the season.

Northside

Northside dropped to 2-15 on the season and extended their losing streak to 10 after losses to Hawkinsville and Peach County this week. It was a 5-2 loss on Monday at Hawkinsville, and they lost 4-0 on Wednesday against Peach County.

Perry

The Lady Panthers had their five-game winning streak broken by East Laurens in a 9-7 loss on Monday, but they bounced back throughout the week with two wins, including their second in region play. They were only 5-of-27 from the plate on Monday with nine strikeouts, but bounced back on Tuesday in a 5-1 win over Schley County. Lili Floyd pitched all seven innings and only had one earned run.

Thursday was a close one against region opponent Wayne County; Perry led 8-1 entering the seventh inning, but Wayne County gave them a scare scoring four runs before the Lady Panthers shut them down for their second region win. They’re 10-5 on the season and 2-0 in Region 1-4A, which has them at the top of the standings.

Veterans

The Lady Warhawks didn’t play this week because their invitational in Columbus was canceled due to weather. They instead had team bonding on Friday.

Warner Robins

The Demonettes snapped their nine-game losing streak on Wednesday as they routed Baldwin at home 16-3. That moves them to 2-11 on the season, they’re still 0-2 in the region.

Westfield

Westfield split their games this week with a 8-2 loss at home on Tuesday against Lanier County. Then they traveled to Wilcox County on Thursday for a big 13-3 win.

Four errors was the story in Tuesday’s game; Lanier County got up 4-0 early and eventually made it 8-0 by the third inning. The Lady Hornets bounced back on Thursday with 10 hits, only allowing one error as Lindy Hair and Lauren Davidson pitched a relatively clean four and two innings respectively.
