WARNER ROBINS — Sky Zone’s Warner Robins location is officially open for business and ready to promote play and help families make memories. To celebrate, the trampoline park hosted a joint ribbon-cutting with the Robins Regional and Perry Area Chambers of Commerce.

The newest branch of the entertainment center joins hundreds nationwide and is the only Sky Zone in Middle Georgia.

The park features a wide selection of attractions for all ages, including free jumping, an obstacle course, a giant slide, and a jungle gym.

Multiple local leaders at the ribbon-cutting, including Flint Energies CEO Jeremy Nelms, Perry Chamber President Maggie Schuyler, and Southside Baptist Church Lead Pastor Matt Walls, mentioned bringing their families to the park and reflected on the revitalization of the Russell Parkway building.

Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said the new park means a great deal to the community as a meeting place for people of all ages, and fits with the city’s vision of watching dreams take flight.

“At the time now in our country, unity is so important and to see opportunities for our children to gather together: from the littles, all the way up to the high schoolers, to the parents, to the grandparents, that’s what this means in our community. [It’s] a place we can unify together for a good purpose, make some great memories and get active together,” Patrick said.

Sky Zone Warner Robins co-owners Sandra and David Milby also run a home healthcare company, Visiting Angels, and wanted to bring a more lighthearted business to the area.

“The idea through COVID, was to bring some fun and to lighten the mood,” Sandra Milby said.

Sandra Milby said that throughout the process, she and her husband leaned on the Lord.

“It’s been a leap of faith. Every single step, every single move that we’ve made, God’s been with us. We prayed over this building. We’ve prayed over these families. We’ve prayed over each and every one of you and we hope that it is a blessing. We hope that it’s a safe place for all the families, for all the community to come,” Sandra Milby said.

David Milby said the process of opening a Sky Zone started about three years ago, with a rocky road about six months in, but once the doors opened, it was smooth sailing for the family.

“God had been opening and closing doors… about five, six months in, they all shut. And for two years, we were just grinding and wondering if this was gonna actually come to fruition. But then, in God’s timing, he did it again,” David Milby said.

The couple thanked the city of Warner Robins for their support, and David especially thanked his parents, who instilled business knowledge when he was younger.

“All of our success, I definitely owe to my parents. I just want to say thank you,” David Milby said.

Sky Zone is located at 815 Russell Parkway and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
