Six Central Georgia Technical College athletes honored on 23-24 NCJAA All-Academic Teams

We often forget the “student” part of student-athlete, but six Central Georgia Technical College Athletes did not.

There are awards and teams of all types to honor college athletes, but most have to do with their performances on the field or court.

We often forget the “student” part of student-athlete, but six Central Georgia Technical College Athletes did not.

Caleb Senyo, Christian Torres, Keon Griffin, Eihlan Fitch, Nelson Johnson Jr. and Haley Johnson  were all named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Academic Teams for the 2023-24 cycle.

Senyo was the lone Titan named to the All-Academic First Team with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the men’s basketball program.

Torres and Griffin, also members of the men’s basketball team, were named to the All-Academic Second Team for having a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99.

Fitch, representing the women’s basketball program, was also named to the second team.

Johnson Jr. and Johnson, representing the men’s and women’s basketball teams respectively, were named to the All-Academic Third Team for finishing with a GPA between 3.60 and 3.79.

Congrats to all of these student-athletes for this accomplishment!
