Shooting claims life on Camellia Circle
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Warner Robins Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that took place on Wednesday afternoon, a media release by the police department said.
According to the department, officers were dispatched to 319 Camellia Circle at 4:38 p.m. on Sept. 13, in response to a man who was shot.
Officers arrived four minutes later, finding a man in his 60s at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. EMS also arrived to the scene and took over rendering aid to the victim from first responding officers.
Police have identified the victim as 64-year old Enrique Burgess. He was transported with life-threatening injuries to Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins, ultimately succumbing to his injuries.
A day later, around 5:15 p.m., the police department executed a search warrant related to their investigation into the homicide. During this time, the suspect was detained and interviewed.
The police department has released a description of the suspect as a female juvenile, but have yet to reveal her identity, pending investigation. She was charged for Homicide and Aggravated Assault.
The police department said the victim and suspect knew each other, and the shooting was not random in nature.
