Sheriff’s office searches for storage unit theft suspects
BONAIRE, Ga. — The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is looking to crack a case that cropped up earlier this month, and they are reaching out to the community for help.
According to case reports, on Nov. 3, deputies responded to Bonaire Mini Storage on Highway 247 in reference to a completed burglary.
Once on scene, deputies made contact with an associate at the facility who initially made the call.
After reviewing security footage, deputies discovered that two white male suspects entered the business at around 11:30 p.m. the night before and began forcing their way into multiple storage units. Five units had been broken into, with two units missing various items, including tools, fishing equipment, a floor jack and a knife.
Deputies later discovered the jack and the knife sitting outside the property’s back fence, with a hole cut through it. They also discovered that the business had been burglarized on Oct. 24, where tools were stolen from another storage unit. At this time, it is unknown if the two cases are related to each other.
Now, the sheriff’s office is reaching out on social media to help find the suspects involved. The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with more information to contact Cpl. John Kamens at (478) 542-2085.
