Senior Citizens Flower Show awards Barbara Chasteen

In celebration of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup, Keep Warner Robins Beautiful (KWRB) sponsored a Senior Citizen Flower Show for members of the Senior Citizens Social Club.

Cheryl Taylor, Second Vice Chairman, chaired the event. Nationally Accredited Master Flower Show Judges were Dora Etheridge, Beanie Harrell and Elaine Privette.

In the Cut Specimen category first place was awarded to Mary Lappone, second place to Frances Roland and third place to Carmen Petties. In the Container Grown Plant category, Betty Hewitt received first place, Helen Daly received second and the Senior Art Center won third place. In the category Floral Arrangements, Barbara Chasteen took first place, Betty Hewitt received second and Connie Engen won third place. Chasteen also accepted Best of Show for her floral arrangement.

Prizes were provided by Atlanta Bread, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, El Bronco Mexican Restaurant, Golden Corral, Greek Village, Hibachi Buffet, Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, John’s Mexican Restaurant, Mike’s Hotdogs & Hamburgers, Senior Activities Center Ceramics Department, Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet, and Warner Robins Supply Company.
