Maybe he sings in his office at the capitol in Atlanta

behind closed doors, or maybe he just sings in the care on his way to work, but

one thing is for sure, Sen. Ross Tolleson will take the stage and sing for all

to hear on Dec. 10.

His efforts will benefit the Aflac Cancer and blood

disorders center in Atlanta.

Tolleson and amateur country singer/songwriter Caylee Anna

Hammack, 18, will be performing at the 40-Watt Club in Athens on Dec 10. The

doors open at 7 p.m. for the event.

Tolleson said they are looking for sponsors, donations and a

crowd that would like to hear some good music.

Tolleson said h has been practicing a few Lady Antebellum

songs as well as a Jason Aldean song.

“I am not a singer, I can tell you that,” Tolleson said

jokingly. “This event will be fun for everyone, but the cause we are supporting

is phenomenal,” he said.

He and Hammack recently visited the children’s hospital and

Tolleson said just walking through the doors of the facility is life changing.

Hammack, who lives in Ellaville, has been pursing her music

career for two years. She was inspired to follow her dream after she was

diagnosed with a tumor on her spine at age 16. The tumor was found to be non

cancerous and Hammack said she is healthy.

“Getting news like that turns your world upside down. It

opened my eyes to so many things,” the singer said.

Tolleson and Hammack teamed up as a result of being connected

through a mutual friend.

The singing duo said they want to help the families that

have extra expenses of travel, lodging and food while their child is fighting

for their life.

“We are appreciative of our sponsors and those who make

donations. They will never know how much they touched someone’s life,” Hammack

finished.

Tolleson said they currently have 17 sponsors but would like

to have 25.
