Second suspect in Glenn shooting arrested

Devasko Dewayne Lewis of Cordele, a second suspect in the shooting death of Kerry Benald Glenn on Jan. 14 in Houston County, was arrested by Crisp County Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday according to a release from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

Lewis, 35, is being held at the Crisp County Detention Center without bond on a charge of murder. He was arrested at his residence in Cordele when the deputies served an arrest warrant. According to the release, the warrant was issued by Houston County Sheriff’s investigators on Tuesday.

Glenn. 30, was found by Houston authorities shot to death at a residence located on the 300 block of Hwy. 224. Jamarcus Akeem Clark, 23, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with this case on Monday.

The Houston Sheriff’s Office release states the investigation into the murder is ongoing, and the lead investigator is Cpl. Patrick Lange. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lange or Sgt. Greg Pennycuff at 478-542-2085 or 478-542-2080.

In addition to the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police, the Turner County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Natural Resources and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is assisting in the investigation.
