Sampson ~ McElroy

Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Sampson of Perry announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Sampson of Port Wentworth, to Dr. Samuel McElroy of Savannah. He is the son of Zac and Janice Martin of Franklin, Tenn. and David McElroy of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

The bride is a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nurse practitioner. She works as a nurse practitioner for Summit Cancer Care Practice in Savannah. Her grandparents are the late Alvin and Ida Schlutz of Muscatine, Iowa, and the late Lester and Thelma Sampson of Decorah, Iowa.

The groom is a graduate of Lipscomb University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Doctor of Medicine from St. Mathews University. He is a third year internal medicine resident at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. He is an associate administrative chief resident for 2013-14 and will be joining Chatman Medical Group as a partner in July. McElroy is the grandson of Helen McKee of Columbia, Tenn., and the late George McKee; the late Chester and Ruby Martin of Savannah, and the late Archie and Margaret McElroy of Nashville.

Their wedding date is slated for April 26 at Monterey Square in the Savannah Historic District.
