Rigby’s Entertainment Complex: Get Some Fun

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Located on 2001 Karl Dr. in Warner Robins, you will find an entertainment complex that spans over 50,000 square feet. It’s called Rigby’s Entertainment Complex.

With their tagline “Get Some Fun,” you can do just that with their attractions featuring roller-skating, arcade, glow-in-the-dark bowling, go-karts, laser tag and miniature golf.

The business first opened in May of 2013 with an original focus of it just being a roller-skating rink. Owner Steve Rigby’s daughter Gracie Preston said after multiple studies were conducted, the results showed it would have failed.

“When my dad was younger he loved roller-skating and would spend most of his time as a kid at his neighborhood’s skating rink,” said Preston. “Growing up in Warner Robins, you would always hear people say there’s nothing to do. Well, my dad wanted to change that. He originally wanted to open a skating rink, but the studies he had done showed it would have failed. My family then began to brainstorm, and we said let’s add more fun to it. Here we are today three years later.”

Rigby’s doesn’t just target kids and teenagers; adults can get in on the fun as well. On Friday and Saturday nights adults can have a good time without the kids and teenagers from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. Preston said it’s a place where everyone can have their own fun.

“From time to time we also have local bands perform out on our patio,” said Preston. “Rigby’s, again it’s a place where you come to escape and have fun. We are constantly keeping up to date with new games for our arcade, and our laser tag is ranked the fifth largest in the nation, which is pretty cool.

“Also in the makes is a new restaurant. It will be more like your sit down type instead of quick eats. We are trying to change the idea to where you want to eat first then play rather than play and then eat.”

Rigby’s also offers different packages for private meetings, parties, team building exercises, and much more. Preston said the complex has a wide variety of conference rooms with meeting spaces for groups of 10 up to 1,000. There is also an option to rent the whole facility out.

Coming soon within the next couple of years is Rigby’s Water World. Preston said the original plan was to open this summer, but there were a few design changes. She said some of the features include a 100-foot tall slide, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a kids zone.

“When you come up with designs – even if it’s just a couple – you really have to adjust the whole area around it,” said Preston. “So it’s not about not having the funds for it. You can’t just throw a bunch of stuff out there, and expect it to flow. My dad and the whole family really want to make this a huge attraction for the Warner Robins area. We want to take our time and make it right.

“Rigby’s Entertainment Complex is 100 percent home grown. The whole family is involved from my parents to my four younger brothers and sisters to cousins. We all have a passion to make this a cool place.”
