Research team to launch Gum Matrix product in Houston County
A Georgia-based research team recently formed Bio Extraction Sciences, LLC and has announced clinical trials will soon begin to test its novel approach to toxin removal and delivery of herbal quinine as a toxin reduction system for COVID-19 using a time released Gum Matrix. The goal is to hopefully remove/reduce the infectious aspects of COVID-19 through chewing this gum carbon filtration system.
The Georgia team is Preston Haliburton – a biotech lawyer and CEO of Bio Extraction Sciences, LLC, Dr. McCoy Moretz – co-founder of Bio Extraction Sciences, LLC, Dr. K. Scott Malone – practicing physician and former military medical officer and biomedical engineer, and doctor and Georgia State Senator Lester Jackson.
“Early reports suggest that combining carbon and quinine could possibly remove or diminish harmful toxins from the oral cavity,” Moretz said. “The company invented this toxin-removal system six years ago, and the team then went into clinical research about what additional substances the product could bind, absorb and remove. It showed astounding results in removing nicotine from the oral cavity. When President Donald Trump spoke of chloroquine possibly working effectively against COVID-19, I was already working with Preston and other team doctors to incorporate into the gum matrix and powder-based product the ability to remove the COVID-19 toxin with an all-natural supplement, quinine.”
“In essence, we will be working to utilize our Breathalyzer toxin-removal gum and powder into a therapeutic removal system for viral loads,” Haliburton said. “When the team first invented this toxin-removal system six years ago, the company went into clinical research about what additional substances the product could bind and absorb and remove, as well as delivery of medicinal substances. The study included the possibility of a virus or an infectious disease agent, which was included in one of three patents. The product transitioned from removing substances, which cause a breathalyzer to read errors to removing precancerous oral toxins. The team is in pre-publication of a clinical study demonstrating the product’s efficacy performed at the Medical College of Georgia. Many of the current facial masks use carbon filters to enhance their benefits. Our product is a carbon-based gum matrix for absorbing and removing toxins with the delivery of L-cysteine, an amino acid. Substitution of L-cysteine with quinine is our current plan in virus study.”
Just recently, Malone was called upon to join the team. Haliburton met Malone over a year ago and said he was impressed with his keen medical, biomedical engineering and business insights. The relationship was enhanced when Mortez connected with Malone. “It was a natural fit,” Moretz said. Malone is the medical advisor to the State of Georgia Entertainment and Athletic Commission, past co-chair of the GA State Board of Athletic trainers, the chair of the Middle Georgia National Eagle Scout Association, member of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs and a former Captain in the U.S. Army.
The founders were highly encouraged by Dr. Malone to take a closer look at Houston County and made several trips to Warner Robins. The team met with key business leaders, and was sold on the idea of being part of a launching pad for innovations and incubations in Houston County.
“I am excited to be involved with Bio Extraction due to the company’s potential to impact health-related conditions. The Bio Extraction delivery system is designed to diminish bacterial and possibly viral loads in the oral cavity. The COVID-19 pandemic is a major example of how this product could possibly impact the patients. It’s also exciting to have this come to fruition in Houston County.”
As a disclaimer, the team wants to point out that this study is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute the practice of medicine, nursing or other professional health care services, including the giving of medical advice, and no doctor/patient relationship is formed. Haliburton said the use of this information is at the reader’s own risk.
“The content of this information is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment,” Haliburton said. “Users should not disregard, or delay in obtaining, medical advice for any medical condition they may have and should seek the assistance of their health care professionals for any such conditions.”
“It’s with great pleasure that we bring forward this latest advance from Bio Extraction Sciences LLC,” Moretz said. “This is an over 100-year-old natural malarial treatment from which the current drug is derived. Our innovation in extraction, absorption and delivery system will hopefully benefit the public, not just during these trying times, but for years to come.”
