Police nab two for marijuana possession
Two women were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana
with intent to distribute after Perry Police found four ounces of the drug in
their vehicle.
Perry Police Capt Heath Dykes said at around noon on Tuesday
officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a black Nissan Altima on Swift
Street. Dykes said once officers approached the vehicle they smelled a strong
odor of marijuana.
After searching the vehicle police found four ounces of
marijuana individually packaged, digital scales and a box of plastic bags used
to package marijuana. {{more}}
The driver, 22-year-old Shikina Murray, and Jessica Thomas,
22, were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent
to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
