Player Spotlight: Kynnadi Howard
Kynnadi Howard is a senior two-sport athlete at Warner Robins High School. She has only been playing volleyball for the past 2 years, but in that time she has developed into a leader on and off the court.
A middle hitter, she had 124 kills for the season averaging 1.6 per set. The threat of Kynnadi in the front row forced her opponents to adjust game plans to avoid the threat. On the defensive side, she drew many blocks from opponents freeing up outside pin hitters to plan attacks. She had 24 blocks this year, which allowed the back row defensive players to be in the correct position for digs.
Kynnadi was selected as a co-captain for this season. Her competitive nature and leadership pushed her team and herself to compete in many matches. If the team lost a match, she would treat it as a personal loss and would drive her teammates to improve all aspects of the game.
Kynnadi’s strongest attributes that made her a great player and leader were her positive attitude, great humor and easy-going personality, which gained the respect of her peers. One of her known trademarks when watching the Demonettes Volleyball team is her red hair band, which she wears at the matches.
A senior, Kynnadi has plans to attend college at Florida A&M to study Nursing next year. But first things first, she will be hitting the hardwood to play basketball for the Demonettes this winter. Even though she started volleyball late, she truly fell in love with the game.
