Player Spotlight: Dakarai Anderson

Dakarai Anderson is a receiver from Perry High School. Recently, however, he has been in the spotlight of college teams, such as the University of Georgia and Texas A&M. So, what makes him, specifically, so special?

Dakarai is a hard-rushing wide receiver, and in his two-season career at Perry, he has made 61 receptions for a total of 860 yards, landing him with an impressive 14.1 yards to receptions ratio. His seven career touchdowns, as well, is the icing on top.

What makes Dakarai even more special is his love for the game.

“I love it, ever since I was a kid,” he said, saying he was playing football endlessly as he was growing up.

He is additionally motivated by his inspiration, Casey Hayward, a former Perry student who is now a NFL cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons.

Dakarai does not only show love on the turf but also in the locker room by supporting his teammates, keeping them up to date on expectations and future games. He plans to keep his motivation for the game going after high school with hopes of attending college, receiving an education and to keep playing football.

Dakarai Anderson is an incredible player to have on the roster with his record. He manages to show integrity on and off the field, with his motivation being his admiration for the game and everything that comes with it.
