Perry woman robbed in purse snatching
On Saturday, the Perry Police officers responded to a robbery outside the Life Tree Natural Foods store at 11:05 a.m.
According to Capt. Heath Dykes, a lady helping her elderly husband into their vehicle was robbed of her purse. Capt. Dykes said an unknown white male described as around 20 years old and clean cut snatched the women’s purse and fled into a nearby car with a North Carolina license plate. He added there was either a small child or female spotted in the front seat of the car.
The suspect took off on I-75 South and Capt. Dykes said the purse was discovered at exit 134 (South Perry Parkway) with the contents missing from it.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Quridsha Gilliam at 478-988-2824.
