Perry, Westfield softball stage annual scrimmage
With the new school year inching closer and closer, it also means new high school fall sports seasons will soon begin. The new late July tradition in local softball continued Friday with the fund-raising scrimmage between the varsity and junior varsity clubs from Perry High School and Westfield. The Panthers hosted this year’s event in front of a large crowd, with some highlights including Callie Ayer’s home run reception (below) in the JV game. Sabrina Doucette and Amber Garrett would go deep for Perry High in support of varsity pitcher Kaley Sikes (left).
