Perry Middle awarded Georgia FCCLA Superior Chapter Feagin Mill Middle Wins 2nd place

Georgia Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) announced the FCCLA Superior and Reserve Champions on Dec. 10. These awards recognize the top two schools in the state that won the most contests during the 2018 Fall Rally held during the Georgia National Fair. Both winners are middle schools and both are in Houston County.  Perry Middle School won first place and was named the Superior Chapter. Feagin Mill Middle won second place and was named the Reserve Superior Chapter.

 As the Superior Champion, Perry Middle was awarded $500 and a plaque. During the Fall Rally, Perry Middle placed first in three competitions:  Brochure, Male Recruitment; Chapter Fair Booth; and Peanut Recipe. The school’s FCCLA members also won second place in the Chili Cook-off competition. 

Feagin Mill Middle was presented a $250 cash award and a plaque as the Reserve Superior Chapter. Feagin Mill FCCLA members won the following awards during the fair:  first place in Brochure, General FCCLA Information and Overall Middle School winner; first place in Knowledge Bowl competition; and second place in Chapter Fair Booth.

Perry Middle is located at 495 Perry Parkway in Perry.  Heath Burch serves as principal and Alisha Hall as FCCLA Adviser. Feagin Mill Middle is located at 1200 Feagin Mill Road in Warner Robins.
