Perry Junior League teams win Dixie Youth State Championships
Three teams from Perry Junior League (PJL) went on to claim a Dixie Youth State Championship on Monday.
PJL’s 6U softball team, 6U tee-ball team and 8U AA baseball team each won the state championship in their respective classification.
As for Perry’s 8U Dixie Youth State Champions, their season isn’t over just yet.
Winning the state championship gave them a berth in the 2021 Dixie Youth Baseball World Series in Laurel, Mississippi.
They’ll begin pool play in August, where Perry will represent Georgia and play South Carolina then Florida on August 7.
Each team represented Perry well in their championship runs. Now, the 8U squad could make history as the first Perry team to be Dixie Youth Baseball World Series Champions.
