Perry fire from early July determined arson

PERRY — An arrest has been made after a fire that took place earlier this month, according to a release by the Perry Police Department.

Keith Huchison, a resident at 228 Shoshone Circle, was arrested in connection to the fire that took place at the same address.

Fire crews responded to the house fire July 8, around 1 p.m. After the blaze was extinguished, both fire and police investigators worked to determine the fire’s cause.

After their investigation, it was discovered the fire was intentionally set and ruled as arson.

Huchison faces five charges: First-degree Arson, Second-degree Cruelty to Children, Reckless Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property and Insurance Fraud.
