A pedestrian was killed in Perry on Friday after a truck

hit him.

Joe Craft, 42, was walking in the westbound lane on Sam Nunn

Boulevard when he was struck by a Chevrolet 1500 truck driven by Jacob Westbrook,

21, of Hawkinsville.

The Georgia State Patrol said Craft was wearing a black jacket

and dark brown pants. It was raining heavily at the time of the accident,

according to the GSP report.

Troopers also report that Westbrook said he didn’t see the man

walking until it was too late.

Westbrook will not be charged as a result of the accident,

the GSP stated.
