One person found dead in home, Warner Robins police investigating

Police responded to a welfare check on the morning of Jan. 7.

UPDATE- Investigators are treating the case as family violence-related homicide. Police have identified the victim as 34-year old Krystal Gilbert.

31-year-old Brandon Diaz was arrested and charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. Police said the case is an isolated incident.

WARNER ROBINS — Police are investigating a death after a welfare check in a home in Warner Robins on Wednesday.

According to a press release, around 7 a.m. on Jan. 7, officers from the Warner Robins Police Department conducted the welfare check at a home on the 100 block of Kay Drive.

Officers found a woman dead on the floor and a man unresponsive in a bedroom. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Criminal Investigations Division and Identification Criminalistics responded to investigate and process the scene as a death investigation.
