Once a Bear always a Bear: Houston goalie signs to Truett-McConnell

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Friday, Houston County High School goalkeeper, Addison Galason, signed her letter of intent to play at Truett-McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia.

Galason has played on varsity for all her four years at Houston County.

In her freshman and sophomore seasons she garnered All-Region honorable mentions. After that, she made sure to be on the All-Region team and became one of the best defensive players in the region.

At the end of her junior year, Galason was named to the All-Region First Team and the All-Region Defensive Player of the Year. She was also selected to the DiVarsity All-Star team.

This season, Galason picked up where she left by allowing just one goal so far and has helped Houston County start the year 8-0.

“She is a great asset to our team, and we are sad we are losing her next year,” said Houston County Head Coach Abigail Layfield. “I am so glad that she has found her perfect fit at Truett-McConnell and I can’t wait to see what all she accomplishes.”
