Northside wrestler commits to Newberry College

Northside wrestler, C’Niyah McCrary, committed to Newberry College last week.

WARNER ROBINS — As signing days wrap up with graduation looming, the Northside Eagles girls’ wrestling team sent one of their own to college.

C’Niyah McCrary was captain of the Northside girls’ squad that placed second in the Area Duels tournament, and she has some other individual accolades that helped earn her a spot at Newberry College in South Carolina.

According to Eagles’ wrestling coach Scott Traugh, McCrary was instrumental in winning the first ever county championship for the Northside girls, and also placed second in the Area out of 19 schools.
