NHS senior named ‘Miss America’s Outstanding Teen’
Olivia McMillan, a Northside High School senior, was crowned Miss America’s Outstanding Teen on Aug. 2, in Orlando. In addition to the title for 2015, she won a $25,000 scholarship for her college education from the Harris Rosen Foundation and Neutraderm.
Olivia sang “Nessun Dorma” as her talent during the competition. In 2012, she was Miss Northside High School where she is involved in the drama department.
She is also an Eagle Ambassador and member of her school’s Senior Executive team. In June she was named Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen and she is a former Miss Teen Dogwood.
Olivia will travel to speak about her platform, “The Sibling Support Project” and as the official National Teen Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
The daughter of Greg and Tracy McMillan, the family resides in Centerville. Olivia is 17 years old.
