Mildred Allene Phillips Rainey, 98, of Rockingham, formerly of Perry, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013, at her home in Rockingham.
 
Mrs. Rainey was born September 22, 1914 in Dooley County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Lizzie Grace Haddock Phillips.  She was a member of Perry First Baptist Church, the Perry Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Lee Rainey in 1992.
 
Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn R. Bridgman of Rockingham and her grandson, David Andrew Bridgman ( Jessica) of Raleigh.
 
Graveside services were held at 2pm Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Perry Georgia with Rev. Huey Allen Bridgman officiating.
 
The family greeted friends following the service.
