Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

“Two Sides of the Same Issue: Cops vs. Community” will be the subject of a panel discussion sponsored by the Media, Culture and the Arts department of Middle Georgia State College’s Macon campus.

It will be held Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Arts Complex Theater.

Discussion will evolve around the media’s portrayal of high profile cases such as Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, community reaction, the criminal justice system and law enforcement.

Scheduled panelists are Bibb County Sheriff David Davis; Adria Goldman of Gordon State College; Michael McMorris of Middle Georgia State; and Charles Richardson, editorial page editor of the Macon Telegraph.

This event, which is also sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, is free and open to the public.
