On Thursday, May 9, the Mossy Creek Middle School FFA was

awarded $5,000 in grant funds from the Flint Energies Foundation for its

agricultural program. This program has had over 500 students participating. The

program does not receive funding from the school and it consists of a livestock

barn, greenhouse, raised vegetable gardens and a BBQ pit. The grant will be

used to support the needs at the agriculture barn.
