Marietta club hosts Marietta Open

MARIETTA, Ga. — The Marietta Club worked hard to get their courts updated, and they looked great for their tournament on September 23, 2023.

There were 19 pitchers divided into three classes to pitch for cash and patches.

Stasia Addison, Troy Stapler and Jim Haley pitched again on Saturday, after a brief hiatus from pitching.

Championship class was won by Matt Braswell with a 4-1 record and 57% ringer percentage.

Addison won second place with a 3-2 record and 35% ringer percentage.

Jerry Wingfield got third with a 3-2 record and 62% ringer percentage.

Class A was won by Rob Poole with a 5-0 record and 33% ringer percentage.

Larry Munn placed second with 3-2/24.5% and Elaine Holland earned third with 3-2/19.5%.

Class B was won by Jim Haley with 6-0/20%, Donal Echols placed second with 4-2/23.33%. Troy Stapler won third with 4-2/19.17%.
