Man arrested for shooting

Warner Robins Police responded to the 100 block of Angela Avenue, Monday at around 12:25 a.m., in reference to a male being shot.

Anthony Williams, 55, showed up at the Houston Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg. The injury is not life threatening. Williams was shot in the 100 block of Angela Ave. He reported there was a party at his home prior to the shooting, and he was cleaning after everyone left when a black male approached him inside of his home with a gun.

The suspect was further described as having dreadlocks in his hair. Williams fled and was shot in the leg.

Later in the evening, Monday at 7:45 p.m., officers arrested 37-year-old Michael Turner for aggravated assault for shooting Williams. Officers arrested Turner after a brief foot chase on Angela Ave. When Turner was arrested, he was in possession of a handgun. He was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Turner is in the Houston County Detention Center with bond.
