James Wilson was arrested the morning of Wednesday, August 5, in connection with the molestation of an 11-year-old girl. Sgt. Gary Andrews of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office said on the afternoon of July 20, the 11-year-old was out for a walk to a local Target, when Wilson encountered her and offered to give her a ride and picked her up in his vehicle. Sgt. Andrews explained that Wilson had taken the girl to an undisclosed location, where Wilson is accused of molesting her, and afterward, dropping her off at the Target in Warner Robins. Andrews said Wilson and the girl did not know each other prior to the incident and this occurred during a time frame of about four hours.

During this block of time, Andrews relayed, the child’s family found her missing, and in turn, reported her as a runaway. During this process, it is learned that the child was at Target, where a Warner Robins Police Department unit picked up the child and returned her home. Andrews continued that the Houston County Sheriff’s Office became involved the next day, upon revelation of further details of the incident.

Wilson is currently being held without bond at the Houston County Detention Center, and is charged with aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and solicitation of sodomy.
