Warner Robins – In the early morning hours of Sunday, February 12, 2017, Louise Tarpley was summoned by God to His heavenly home to hold hands again with her beloved husband, James Hamilton Tarpley. She was 90 years old.

Louise was born in Cordele, Georgia on September 4, 1926 to the late Robert and Abigail Hall. She was a wonderful homemaker who dedicated herself to faithfully serving her husband and raising their children to know and love God. As the children grew older, Louise enjoyed working at Westside Elementary as a teacher’s assistant and was also an administrative assistant with Crenshaw Appraisals.

As a devout Christian woman, Louise was a longtime active member of Central Baptist Church where she taught the 14 year old girls’ Sunday School Classes and various youth groups throughout the years. She was also instrumental in starting the Women’s Missionary Union at the church and always supported all of the missions. Louise will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her kindness, grace, strength, and love for the Lord will always live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.

In addition to Louise’s husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Wendell James Tarpley; and siblings, A.J. Hall, and Ernestine Pile.

She leaves her memory behind with her loving children, Randy Lee Tarpley of Warner Robins, Robin Gail Tarpley of Snellville, and Ronnie James Tarpley (Jodi) of Athens; grandsons, Ryan, Robert, and Jake Tarpley; granddaughter, Sydney Tarpley; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Tarpley; siblings, Kenneth Hall of Midland, Michigan and Eunice Blankenchip of Jacksonville, Florida; and a number of adoring nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was Tuesday, February 14th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Bob Dilks will officiate. Following the service, Louise was laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Louise to Central Baptist Church, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Friends may go to www.mcculloughfh.com to sign an online registry for the family and to view the memorial video once it has been finalized. McCullough Funeral Home has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Tarpley’s arrangements.
