One of the biggest little league tournaments in the country is once again coming to Warner Robins as the city hosts teams from eight different states for 12 days of baseball and softball action.
Warner Robins took over hosting duties from St. Petersburg, Florida in 2010, two years after they built the region headquarters in War-town.
The Southeast Region Tournament is a precursor to the Little League World Series for both softball and baseball — teams representing Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia will take part in the softball tournament from July 20 through July 25 and the baseball tournament from July 31 to August 5.
Admission to the games as well as parking is free for fans, but if you can’t make it in person the games are available to watch live on ESPN platforms according to a release from the Little League organization. Those interested in more information can visit LittleLeague.org/Southeast
The opening ceremonies for softball will be on July 19 at 9 a.m. The ceremonies for baseball will be held on July 30 at 9 a.m., all at the Little League Southeast park in Warner Robins at 439 Snellgrove Drive.
