Letter to the Editor – Marco Gomez

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

To whom it may concern,

I, as a former employee City Of Warner Robins Gas Department, would like to gratefully thank your team for the coverage on the Gas Departments publishings! There have been so many lies from Randy, Monty and Ron, and all the blame they keep dumping on the employees! I, myself, and my crew leader, on multiple occasions, warned and brought up our concerns with leaks and faulty equipment as well as “patched jobs” that were never fixed in accordance with procedures and PSC standards. One example is a two-inch poly main that was hit by contractors boring for fiber optic line install on the corner of Russell Parkway and Kimberly (in front of the CVS). That line was temporarily patched with a repair clamp for the time being till we could return to do a full repair, and that never happened. There are so many more places like this that have been neglected! I also like the details about Mark Polk too.

Another employee, who was more than qualified for the position of Compliance Training Officer/Assistant supervisor was discriminated against and turned down for the position. Ron Smith gave three reasons in front of the panel that included Mr. Ammons and Mr. Walters,

He filed grievance with Human Resources but nothing was ever done to Mr. Smith or Mr. Walters. It wasn’t till another discrimination case happened nearly three to four months later! All of it is open records but would not be surprised if all the evidence is gone (audio recordings, paper trails and pictures). All these things need to be exposed so people know the treatment we had to endure as employees!
