Larry Leon Shafer

Larry Leon Shafer, age 68, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at The Medical Center of Peach County. The Valdosta native had lived in Macon most of his life moving to Perry in 1994. In 2002 he made his home in Fort Valley. He was a Vietnam Veteran that had served in the US Navy. Larry is preceded in death by his wives, Bonnie Shafer and Gwen Shafer; mother, Edna Herndon and father, Leon Shafer.
He is survived by his children, Justin (Cory) Shafer of Reidsville, GA, Ashley Shafer of Arizona, and Emily Shafer of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, Austin Dasher, Ansleigh Shafer and Paisley Dent.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
