The Westfield Lady Hornets Softball team capped off another Cinderella season after an impressive win to claim their fifth consecutive GISA State title. The Lady Hornets beat Tiftarea Academy on Thursday evening, 3-0 and again on Saturday, 8-2.

The Westfield Lady Hornets finished the season with a 25-1 overall record, while 11-1 in region play. Of their 26 games, the Lady Hornets went 12-1 at home, 8-0 on the road and 5-0 at neutral sites.

Westfield finished their season on a 12-game winning streak. The Lady Hornets have six freshman, four sophomores, one junior and one senior on this year’s team, which means they will bring more returning players next season. This season was coach Brock Van Faussien’s first season as the coach of Westfield.
