Lady hornets drub Stratford
In the third straight game played in Macon, Westfield
finally found another GISA Region 2-AAA girls basketball win Friday at
Stratford Academy. Leading from start to finish, Cass Cassell’s Lady Hornets
won 43-29 for a 2-2 region record.
It was 22-9 at the half.
Katlyn Moseley had 11 points, Callie Hammerle scored 10
points with three assists and Chelsea Whaley and Valerie McLure each had nine
points. McLure added six rebounds and three assists, and McKinley Walton pulled
down a team-high 10 rebounds at the foul
line, the Lady Hornets went 11-for-20.
Things in 2-AAA wrap up for Westfield at home with Tuesday’s
meeting with Mt. de Sales and Friday’s showdown with Tattnall Square. The
ladies will look to even out recent losses to both clubs in Macon.
