Kitchen mishap results in WR fire

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Warner Robins Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire at a home located on Feagin Mill Road (between Lake Joy and Houston Lake Roads) in Warner Robins Saturday afternoon. Several emergency vehicles were on the scene, and travelers on the residential community road were being directed by emergency personnel in an effort to keep the traffic moving as smoothly as possible.

Chief Scotty Durham was the shift commander on duty when the call for assistance came through, and according to Durham, the fire got started in the kitchen as a result of a cooking mishap. Though there was some smoke damage in several areas of the home, the most extensive damage caused by the blaze was confined to the kitchen.

Chief Durham confirmed that while there were people at home during the fire, no injuries resulted from the incident.
